Art Beyond the Glass: Chicago

For the first time ever, Art Beyond the Glass (ABTG) is leaving its hometown of Los Angeles.  This special event showcases the artistic talents practiced by bartenders when they’re not on the job.  ABTG gives bartenders the opportunity to share their art and music with others while raising money for art-based charities.  ABTG CHI is raising funding for ArtReach, a Chicago non-profit working to bring art education to those with limited access.  Art Beyond the Glass asks that you enjoy responsibly and recommends using a ride share service like LYFT to attend this event.

“Before moving to Chicago, I was part of the Los Angeles bar community and was lucky enough to participate in ABTG II and ABTG III,” says Chicago board member, Elizabeth Mickiewicz.  “I was totally bummed out when I was unable to attend ABTG IV, and that feeling is what sparked my desire to bring the event to Chicago.  I missed being a part of something so original and inspiring, and I knew taking it National was always part of the plan.  Laura, Kristina and I jumped at the chance to be the founding Chicago board members.”
